Exclude Order Protection From Being Discounted ​

Overview ​

In order to ensure that the price of Order Protection is not affected by discount codes, you need to ensure your collections do not contain the Order Protection product.

Create a collection that excludes Order Protection ​

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.

2. Click Create collection.

3. Enter a title, such as All Products Available for Discount.

4. Enter a description, such as This collection will be used to determine which items qualify for discount. It will also ensure that Order Protection is not discounted.

5. In the Collection type section, select Automated.

6. In the Conditions section, select Product type > is not equal to > Protection.

7. Click Save.

   

Any discount codes that apply to this collection will not affect the price of Order Protection.

Creating a collection that excludes Order Protection ​

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Discounts.

2. Click Create discount.

3. Select Discount code for the method.

4. In the Discount code section, enter the code you wish to use (e.g., FLASHSALE) or click Generate to have Shopify create one for you.

5. Adjust the other values as desired.

6. In the Applies to section, select Specific collections.

7. Click Browse then select the collection created above.

8. Click Add.

9. Verify all other settings then click Save discount.

Update an existing collection to exclude Order Protection ​

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.

2. Click on the collection you want to edit.

3. In the Conditions section, click Add another condition and select Product type > is not equal to > Protection.

4. Evaluate all conditions to ensure they work the way you expect.

5. Click Save.
